I might not have guessed that Death In Vegas would be responsible for one of my top 25 tracks of the year, but the lead single from their first album in five years is a terrorising, venomous high-NRG banger that cannot be ignored. The track consists essentially of an 8 minute build that never gives you the full satisfaction of a proper drop. Featuring Sasha Grey on vocals (careful with the googling of her backstory), it is a repetitive groove that locks you in early, and keeps you in its clutches for an agonisingly long time. By the time it cuts you loose, you need a lie down. That’s what I call a track of the year contender.
