#28: Pumarosa – Cecile

It was at this point last year that so many of us were tipping Pumarosa to light up 2016 with one of the year’s standout debuts. Well, it still hasn’t arrived. The London quintet, led by former theatre designer Isabel Munoz-Newsome, did however release this killer single in the spring, which is enough to keep the appetite as sharp as ever. They have signed with Chess Club Records, which is a good sign, and once again, I would tip them to be one of the sleeper hits of 2017. Along with the likes of Idles, The Big Moon and Goat Girl, Pumarosa’s debut is one to watch out for.
